Job summary

A leading automotive recruitment agency is seeking an experienced MET Technician/Fitter to join a family-run HGV Commercial Bodyshop in Ashford. The ideal candidate will be fully qualified to NVQ Level 3, with strong knowledge of HGV systems and electrical diagnostics. The position offers a competitive salary of up to £55,000 per annum, with OTE around £59,000, along with benefits such as 29 days holiday and annual pay reviews.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.

• Experience as a MET Technician in an accident repair centre.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing, repairing and maintaining HGV or Commercial Vehicles.
• Identifying additional repair work and liaising with the bodyshop advisor.
• Carrying out quality controls.

Job description

Our Motor Trade Client is an Independent family-run HGV Commercial Bodyshop based in Ashford and they require an experienced MET Technician / Fitter to join their busy team of bodyshop productives.

• Monday to Thursday working hours from 07:00 to 17:00

Typical duties

• Diagnosing, repairing and maintaining HGV or Commercial Vehicles in line with our Client's high standards.
• Familiarity with the skills, knowledge and techniques required to be successful in the role.
• To identify additional repair work and liaise with the bodyshop advisor.
• Communicating effectively with other team members.
• Carry out quality controls.

Requirements

• Fully qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of HGV systems, and electrical diagnostics.
• ATA qualification would be beneficial.
• Experience as a MET Technician within an accident repair centre.

For your hard work as a MET Technician / Fitter for our client you will be paid up to £55,000 with OTE circa of £59,000.
