Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in Ashford, Middlesex, seeks an experienced MET Technician to join our client’s team. You will perform mechanical, electrical, and body repairs on HGV and commercial vehicles, diagnose faults, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

The role offers a competitive salary up to £55,000 per annum, with 29 days holiday, an incentive after six months, performance reviews, and optional overtime/night allowances. Monday-Thursday 07:00–17:00, Friday 07:00–15:00.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an MET Technician or similar in the commercial vehicle sector.
• Strong knowledge of HGV systems and electrical diagnostics.
• Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mechanical, electrical and body repairs on HGV and commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose vehicle faults using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Complete repairs in line with quality standards and company guidelines.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
• Document all repairs and inspections accurately and promptly.
• Share expertise with teammates as required.

Duties:

• Complete all necessary documentation accurately and promptly for repairs and inspections
• Contribute to the team by sharing expertise and supporting colleagues as required

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an MET Technician, Auto Electrician, or similar role within the commercial vehicle sector
• Strong knowledge of HGV systems and electrical diagnostics
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
