Job summary

MERKUR Slots UK Limited is seeking a Team Member to join our Upton Park venue on a part-time basis (24 hours per week). The role focuses on delivering a warm welcome, creating a great gaming experience, and maintaining high standards of service throughout shifts. Night rates apply between 23:00 and 06:00.

Key duties include housekeeping, customer service, promotions support, and accurate administration. The team is central to providing an enjoyable venue experience and maintaining brand

Qualifications

• Experience in retail/hospitality or gambling environments is required.
• Delivering excellent customer service is essential.
• Be flexible and dedicated to the role and hours.
• Attention to detail is important for accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain venue housekeeping to the highest standard, including gaming equipment, floors, and surfaces.
• Conduct service rounds and offer refreshments in line with brand guidelines.
• Monitor customer behaviour and flag any suspicious or disruptive activity.
• Assist with administration with 100% accuracy as required.
• Support promotions to run smoothly and contribute to success.
• Ensure customer service aligns with company standards and achieves customer satisfaction.
• Own and resolve problems, escalating when needed per the complaints policy.
• Record interactions with customers during shifts in accordance with policy.
• Maintain personal presentation and comply with the brand dress code on duty.
• Build product knowledge to enhance the customer journey and enjoyment.
• Understand safeguarding policies and the 25 rule.

Duties include but not limited to:

• To ensure that the venue housekeeping is always of the highest possible standard, regularly cleaning gaming equipment, floors, walls and other surfaces.
• To ensure service rounds and refreshments are offered in line with brand guidelines.
• To monitor the actions and behaviour of customers, noting any behaviour considered to be suspicious and/or disruptive to the smooth operation of the venue.
• To assist with any administration as required to 100% accuracy.
• To help ensure that promotions run smoothly and are a success.
• To ensure that customer service is carried out in line with company standards and results in "customer satisfaction".
• To own and resolve problems, escalating where appropriate and in accordance with the complaints policy.
• To interact with customers through your shift and intervene as appropriate. Such interactions must be logged in accordance with policies.
• To maintain a high standard of personal presentation ensuring the brand dress code is always adhered to, whilst on duty.
• Achieve, maintain and impart to customers great product knowledge to support the customer journey and enjoyment.
• Gain a good understanding of all company policies and procedures around safeguarding and challenge 25
