Job summary

MERKUR Slots UK Limited is seeking a Team Member Nights – Shirley to welcome customers and maintain a high standard of service in a busy venue. You will work a 40-hour week on a rota that includes nights, weekends and Bank Holidays, delivering first‑class customer service and supporting promotions.

Full training is provided to get you up to speed on gaming guidelines and brand standards. A positive attitude and attention to detail are essential to help create a great gaming experience for guests.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Flexible and able to work on a rota including weekends and bank holidays.
• Experience delivering excellent customer service in retail, hospitality or gambling.
• Willingness to learn and develop.
• Attention to detail and reliability.
• Industry and compliance training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of venue housekeeping and hygiene; clean gaming equipment, floors and surfaces.
• Provide service rounds and refreshments in line with brand guidelines.
• Monitor customer behaviour and flag any suspicious or disruptive activity.
• Support administration tasks with accuracy.
• Ensure promotions run smoothly and contribute to customer satisfaction.
• Own and resolve issues; escalate per the complaints policy.
• Engage with customers on shift and log interactions per policies.

Pay Rate: £12.84 - £13.84 per hour

Night Rate: £13.84 per hour between 23:00 and 06:00

Duties include but not limited to:

• To ensure that the venue housekeeping is always of the highest possible standard, regularly cleaning gaming equipment, floors, walls and other surfaces.
• To ensure service rounds and refreshments are offered in line with brand guidelines.
• To monitor the actions and behaviour of customers, noting any behaviour considered to be suspicious and/or disruptive to the smooth operation of the venue.
• To assist with any administration as required to 100% accuracy.
• To help ensure that promotions run smoothly and are a success.
• To ensure that customer service is carried out in line with company standards and results in "customer satisfaction".
• To own and resolve problems, escalating where appropriate and in accordance with the complaints policy.
• To interact with customers through your shift and intervene as appropriate. Such interactions must be logged in accordance with policies.
• To maintain a high standard of personal presentation ensuring the brand dress code is always adhered to, whilst on duty.
• Achieve, maintain and impart to customers great product knowledge to support the customer journey and enjoyment.
• Gain a good understanding of all company policies and procedures around safeguarding and challenge 25
• To actively discourage harassment, victimisation or discrimination against employees, management or customers on the grounds of race, sex, disability, age, sexual orientation, religion or belief.
