Job summary

MERKUR Slots is seeking a Nights Supervisor for our Derby venue. The role supports and mentors team members, drives service standards, and helps maximise revenue. You’ll need strong leadership, flexibility for day/night shifts, and a commitment to safety and compliance.

The position offers 40 hours per week with a pay rate of £13.53–£14.53 per hour, including a night rate of £14.53 between 23:00 and 06:00. Training is provided to ensure service excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a supervisor or similar role within the gaming, retail, hospitality, or similar industry
• Excellent customer service skills
• Attention to detail
• Experience with leading and mentoring others
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable
• Flexibility to work both day and night shifts (if your venue is a 24-hour operation)
• A willingness to learn and develop

Responsibilities

• Open and close the venue and manage daily trading
• Support the venue manager in day-to-day activities
• Maintain high interior/exterior standards and housekeeping
• Establish and maintain customer service standards and maximise income
• Implement marketing/promotional activities to maximise revenue opportunities
• Assist senior managers to maximise business opportunities
• Ensure cash handling is carried out accurately and in line with procedures
• Ensure venue security procedures are followed by all employees
• Conduct regular checks of floats, keys and related controls
• Promote safeguarding and social responsibility measures
