Job summary

Marks Sattin is looking for an ACA-qualified Mergers & Acquisitions Manager for a South Birmingham hybrid role. You will have extensive M&A or TS experience and be comfortable moving from practice into industry, with senior exposure and board-level involvement.

Qualifications

• ACA qualified with extensive M&A/TS experience.
• Experience in due diligence and transaction documentation.
• In-house M&A or top 15 practice background is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review historical earnings of target acquisitions, analysing working capital trends, cash flows and balance sheets to verify financial health and identify potential risks.
• Execute M&A transactions end-to-end with a strong emphasis on due diligence, integration, post acquisition reviews, and transaction documentation.
• Examine working capital fluctuations, cash needs, and debt-like items and feed back to the board to support final price negotiations.

Requirements:

• Strong PQE in deals, M&A, corporate finance or ideally TS.
• Strong understanding of financial due diligence in an M&A environment.
• In-house M&A experience or a first / second time mover from a top 15 practice is strongly preferred.
• An understanding of legal documentation or some legal experience would be an advantage, but not necessary.
• Full and indefinite rights to work in the UK.
