Role Summary

The HBO Max, Partnership Merchandising Specialist is responsible for maximizing the full potential of HBO Max content offering with a focus on ingest partner experiences. This role reports to the EMEA Vice President of Merchandising. Fixed‑term contract for 12 months.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for initial framework set‑up of each new ingest partner based on limitations, features and functionalities specific to the partner’s platform.
  • Act as the main point of contact for each partner’s team for operational issues, communications and updates.
  • Execute day‑to‑day operations of the homepage in the partner’s own back‑end system (training provided).
  • Serve as the primary POC between the EMEA Merchandising team and the local merchant of the relevant market, ensuring market feedback is incorporated into partner platform planning and implementation.
  • Power user of Site Builder (our content‑management system) and the partner’s own back‑end once trained.
  • Power user of tools and algorithms to automate and personalise content delivery based on impression goals and audience behaviour, within partner platform limitations.
  • Lead automated curations and leverage recommendation engines to enhance personalisation.
  • Collaborate with the Merchandising Analysis & Insights team to receive the right data to inform merchandising decisions.
  • Partner with the campaigns team to collaborate on strategy and local implementation; support campaigns within the partner page experience.
  • Support other merchandising team members on troubleshooting, diagnosing and ensuring high‑priority impact issues are followed through by the correct teams and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Adapt Global and EMEA Merchandising strategies with an eye to local audiences, platform features and limitations.
  • Contribute to the tagging process in coordination with the broader merchandising team.
  • Collaborate on strategy for all LOP and local acquisitions to reflect priorities for the given market and partner.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Operations, Marketing and Partnership teams.
  • Leverage merchandising strategies to improve content discoverability, minutes/impression, impression efficiency, content diversity and other relevant KPIs that enhance subscriber engagement and content performance on HBO Max.
  • Use data to drive decisions; share actionable insights and recommendations with the Global Merchandising team and other stakeholders.
  • Stay in sync with market pulse to leverage zeitgeist moments into content discovery opportunities.
  • Contribute to overall strategy through cross‑team collaboration, sharing successful curation strategies that can be used outside the primary page.
  • Contribute to tooling improvements and workflow efficiencies.
