Job summary

Smiths News is seeking an Instore Merchandiser in Wolverhampton on a flexible, part-time contract with pay at £14.24 per hour (holiday pay included). Travel time and mileage are payable where eligible, and a location allowance may apply.

A full UK driving licence and use of a vehicle are required. Expect 5–20 hours per week, not guaranteed, with autonomy to manage your route and displays across your territory.

Qualifications

• Previous Merchandising experience would be advantageous but not mandatory.
• Friendly confident personality with a can do attitude.
• Excellent communication skills, high integrity and reliable.
• To be located within 15 miles of advertised area.
• Ability to work on own initiative and make the right decisions under pressure.
• Full commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Own your territory, manage point-of-sale placement, stock replenishment and auditing.
• Create and maintain visually impactful displays and build strong relationships with store colleagues and managers.
• Ensure stock is replenished and displays stay on-brand; plan visits cost-effectively and work autonomously.

About the role

As an Instore Merchandiser, you’ll bring products to life out in the world on the shop floor. You’ll own your territory, taking care of point-of-sale placement to stock replenishment and auditing. You’ll take pride in first-class standards, creating and maintaining
visually impactful displays, and building strong relationships with store colleagues and managers. You’ll be the person who
keeps everything in order, ensuring that stock is replenished and that displays stay on-brand. You’ll take charge of your own
cost-effective journey plan and make every visit count. If you’re someone who thrives on autonomy and loves to engage with
others, this role is for you.
