Job summary

Cosine Group is seeking Merchandisers for the York area. The role offers approximately 2–4 hours per week, with potential increases during busy periods. Pay is £15.07 per hour PAYE including holiday pay.

Start within 2 weeks after onboarding and training, with long-term, ongoing work available. Flexible across Monday to Sunday with fixed days on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. You will cover York and surrounding stores within 10–15 miles, visiting high street, grocery and convenience locations,

Qualifications

• Ideally, experience in retail or merchandising.
• Available Monday to Sunday with fixed visits Tue, Thu and Sat.
• Own car is essential for materials delivery and store visits.
• Confident with store staff and in-store relationship building.
• Reliable, adaptable and able to work independently.
• Experience with health & beauty retailers is desirable.
• Proficient reporting via mobile app with photos.

Responsibilities

• Visit a mix of stores to complete merchandising tasks and audits.
• Set up point-of-sale materials and ensure planograms are followed.
• Stock shelves and displays to maximise visibility and sales.
• Negotiate extra display space where possible to boost sales.
• Move stock when needed and transport materials to/from home.
• Report progress with clear photos via the company app.

Job description

We are looking for Merchandisers in the York area. Approx 2 - 4 hours per week* (However likely to increase during busy periods) £15.07 p/h PAYE including holiday pay. Start within 2 weeks after onboarding and training with long-term, ongoing work available. Flexible working across Monday to Sunday with some fixed days - Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Ideal experience would be in retail or merchandising - health & beauty would be beneficial - supporting new launches, refreshes, or promotional activity. Use of a car is essential.

York (you will be required to cover stores within 10-15 miles of here) and surrounding

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Visit a mix of high street, grocery, and convenience stores to complete merchandising tasks, audits, and set up point-of-sale (POS) materials.
• Confidently navigating fixtures (e.g. gondolas, bays, shelving)
• Merchandise products in line with agreed planograms.
• Make sure as much stock as possible is out on shelves to help drive sales and keep displays looking great.
• Arrange and top up products on shelves and displays so they’re eye-catching and easy for customers to find.
• Where possible, negotiate extra display space to help boost sales.
• Some stock moving and lifting may be involved from time to time.

What we’re looking for:

• Ideally, experience in retail or merchandising.
• Experience in retailers such as Boots, department stores, or premium beauty chains is desirable.
• Someone who is available Monday to Sunday. We do have fixed visits to be completed on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
• Someone reliable, adaptable, and happy working independently.
• Confident talking to store staff and building good in-store relationships.
• Takes pride in their work.
• Use your own car, as you may need to carry promotional materials or small displays (these may be delivered and stored to your home).
• Use of a phone or tablet to complete reporting on our app — this includes sending clear photos and sharing useful feedback.
