Cotswold Outdoor Group

(Cotswold Outdoor | RunnersNeed | Snow+Rock)

Are you passionate about retail, data, and driving commercial success? Do you want to work for a business with strong values, a commitment to sustainability, and a clear focus on customer experience?

At Cotswold Outdoor Group, we're more than a retail business. Through our brands, we help people explore the outdoors responsibly - while protecting the environment for future generations. We're now looking for two Assistant Merchandisers to join our growing team and play a key role in delivering the right product to the right place, at the right time.

We're looking for an experienced Merchandiser to join our Footwear team (Outdoor, Run, Socks).

The role is based at Kemble and will move to Swindon around Easter. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a high‑profile category, working at COG where you will have exposure to senior stakeholders and where the company has the agility to harness exciting investment in tools and growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage merchandising for the footwear category, ensuring commercial success and efficient stock flow.
  • Work closely with buyers, allocators, and suppliers to deliver best‑in‑class product availability.
  • Support and develop the Assistant Merchandiser.
  • Use systems and data (including AI pricing tools) to drive smart decision‑making (this is something they're launching so you'll be taken on this journey and is a very exciting tool!).
What We're Looking For
  • Proven merchandising experience, ideally at Senior Merchandiser level.
  • Strong Excel and systems capability.
  • Commercial mindset and high stakeholder management skills.
  • Footwear or high continuity category experience is a plus.
  • Personable, proactive, and collaborative.
Why Join Us?
  • Work for a business committed to sustainability, purpose, and customer focus.
  • Salary plus bonus opportunity.
  • Clear career progression opportunities, development and growth.
  • Hybrid working (3 days office, 2 days remote).
  • Pension, staff discount, and comprehensive benefits.
  • Work with innovative AI pricing tools and strong brand relationships.
  • Supportive team culture and meaningful impact.
  • 40-60% staff discount across our family of brands.
  • 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), with the option to purchase more.

If you're ready to take the next step in your merchandising career and want to work for a business with values at its core, we'd love to hear from you.
