Job summary

CPM is seeking a Merchandiser in Hastings. The role covers stores within 10 miles, 4–6 hours per week with potential to increase. You’ll visit shops to set up POS, stock and planograms, and ensure displays drive sales. A car is essential and some weekend work may be required.

Ideal candidates have retail or merchandising experience, are reliable, and comfortable working independently. Training and ongoing support are provided by CPM.

• Comfortable visiting multiple store types (high street, grocery, convenience).
• Ability to set up POS materials and merchandise to planograms.

Responsibilities

• Visit shops to complete merchandising tasks, audits, and POS setup.
• Navigate fixtures and merchandise products per planograms.
• Keep displays stocked and eye-catching to drive sales.
• Top up products and negotiate display space where possible.
• Some stock movement may be required.

Job description

We are looking for Merchandisers in the Hastings area. Approx 4 - 6 hours per week* (However likely to increase during busy periods) £15.07 p/h PAYE including holiday pay. Start within 2 weeks after onboarding and training with long-term, ongoing work available. Flexible working across Monday to Sunday with some fixed days - Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Ideal experience would be in retail or merchandising - health & beauty would be beneficial - supporting new launches, refreshes, or promotional activity. Use of a car is essential.

Territory covering: Hastings(you will be required to cover stores within 10 miles of here) and surrounding

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Visit a mix of high street, grocery, and convenience stores to complete merchandising tasks, audits, and set up point-of-sale (POS) materials.
• Confidently navigating fixtures (e.g. gondolas, bays, shelving)
• Merchandise products in line with agreed planograms.
• Make sure as much stock as possible is out on shelves to help drive sales and keep displays looking great.
• Arrange and top up products on shelves and displays so they’re eye-catching and easy for customers to find.
• Where possible, negotiate extra display space to help boost sales.
• Some stock moving and lifting may be involved from time to time.

What we’re looking for:

• Ideally, experience in retail or merchandising.
• Experience in retailers such as Boots, department stores, or premium beauty chains is desirable.
• Someone who is available Monday to Sunday. We do have fixed visits to be completed on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
• Someone reliable, adaptable, and happy working independently.
• Confident talking to store staff and building good in-store relationships.
• Takes pride in their work.
• Use your own car, as you may need to carry promotional materials or small displays (these may be delivered and stored to your home).
• Use of a phone or tablet to complete reporting on our app — this includes sending clear photos and sharing useful feedback.
