Job Description
- Merchandise Planning: Lead the Merchandise Financial Planning process for LEGO.com, across both AMS and EMEA regions, initially across an up-to 24-month horizon (expanding as our processes mature).
- Country Plans: Create and maintain a location first, retail-metrics driven perspective, which can be reconciled against the item level consumer sales plan.
- Target Setting: Support the process of annual target setting across sales, margin, inventory, location etc. for LEGO.com AMS/EMEA
- Metrics Planning: Provide a baseline metrics view, tied to the submtted consumer sales plan, which helps support downstream operational planning processes (orders, UPO, AOV etc.), delivering a more granular view for key campaign periods.
- Long Range Strategy: Support the work required to estimate future capacity requirements aligned to growth ambitions, for the LEGO.com business
- Performance Tracking: Track actual performance versus plan across all retail metrics and highlight any gap-to-target risk in a timely manner. Be an active participant in identifying commercial activities that help mitigate any such risk
- Shopper Trends: Use data related to active consumer base (acquisition rate, frequency, average spend etc.) to identify potential risks and opportunities within the financial plan
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business (Finance, Category Management, Channel Heads, Marketing etc.) to ensure that the Merchandise Financial Plan is reflective of all key inputs
- Continuous Improvement: Work closely with MFP colleagues to ensure process improvement, global process alignment and overall transformation readiness
- Adhoc: As LEGO Retail is on a growth journey, there will be opportunities and expectations to lead regional and global projects across planning and operations. Current focus is on implementation of end-to-end retail planning capabilities (o9 platform) leveraging statistical forecasting
