Job description
Bring Critical Building Designs to Life

Are you an expert in bringing complex HVAC systems to life in Revit? Do you thrive on solving spatial puzzles and ensuring a project is perfectly coordinated before it gets to site?

We're looking for a detail‑obsessed MEP Revit Technician with a strong HVAC focus to join our team. This isn't just a drafting role; you'll be the digital linchpin ensuring our building services designs are clash‑free, buildable, and compliant with the highest UK standards. If you love seeing your meticulous models turn into a functioning building, this is the role for you.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Own the Model : You will create, develop, and maintain our 3D Revit models for all HVAC systems—from ductwork and pipework to major plant and equipment.
  • Produce Key Drawings : You'll generate the full range of 2D AutoCAD drawings that get the project built, including plans, sections, schematics, and fabrication sheets.
  • Be the Clash Detector : Proactively manage clash detection and coordination with all other disciplines (structural, architectural, etc.). You'll find the problems and work with engineers to solve them before they hit the construction phase.
  • Guard Quality & Standards : Ensure every model and drawing package is delivered to the highest standard, following all project BIM / CAD protocols, naming conventions, and QA procedures.
  • Support the Project : Collaborate closely with engineers to integrate design calculations, assist with design reviews, and prepare schedules or take‑offs directly from the model.
  • Bridge Design & Site : Act as a key link between the design office and the field, liaising with project managers, site teams, and suppliers to ensure your models account for installation sequencing, access, and prefabrication.
What You Bring to the Table
  • Essential Experience : Demonstrable experience as an HVAC CAD / Revit Technician or Designer within the UK building services industry.
  • Core Tech Skills : Strong‑to‑expert proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP) and AutoCAD. You know how to produce coordinated models and crystal‑clear construction drawings.
  • HVAC Knowledge : A solid understanding of common HVAC systems (ventilation, comfort cooling, VRV / VRF, plantrooms) and their coordination requirements.
  • BIM Fluency : You're comfortable with modern BIM workflows, Common Data Environments (CDEs), and the principles of clash detection.
  • A Stickler for Standards : You have a working knowledge of UK building‑services conventions, CIBSE guidance, and the QA processes used in a consulting or contracting environment.
Bonus Points (Nice to Have!)
  • Experience with Navisworks for formal coordination.
  • Exposure to BIM 360 or similar CDE platforms.
  • A portfolio showing live UK projects (e.g., offices, healthcare, residential, or industrial).
  • Knowledge of designing for prefabrication / modularisation.
  • Skills in Revit family creation or managing custom content.
Your Background

We're flexible! An HNC / HND in Building Services / Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) is fantastic, but we value strong, relevant industry experience just as highly.

Who You Are
  • Meticulously Detailed : You have a keen eye for detail and take pride in your accuracy.
  • Highly Organised : You're a pro at version control, time management, and meeting deadlines.
  • A Natural Collaborator : You can communicate clearly and effectively with everyone, from senior engineers to site teams and suppliers.
