Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Quantity Surveyor (Building Services) for Manchester with hybrid working. The role offers £65,000-£85,000 plus benefits, progression and a car allowance on high-value MEP projects up to £40m.

You will take full commercial responsibility from award to final account. We welcome candidates with Building Services or MEP backgrounds, capable of valuations, variations, subcontract management and accurate cost reporting.

Qualifications

• Quantity Surveyor with Building Services background or MEP experience.
• Experience handling valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Ability to manage subcontract packages and payments.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial delivery of Building Services projects from award to final account.
• Prepare valuations, measure completed works and assess variations.
• Produce cost reports, forecasts and reconciliations.
• Procure and manage subcontractor packages, payments and relationships.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and project teams to maximise profitability.
• Work on multimillion-pound Mechanical and Electrical projects across sectors.
