Future Engineering Recruitment Ltd is assisting a growing contractor in appointing an MEP Design Manager for major data centre projects across the UK and Europe. The role is site-based and focuses on design coordination from pre-construction through handover.

You will lead BIM coordination, review technical submittals, and drive buildability on site, with relocation opportunities to Finland, Germany and Oslo and a competitive salary in EUR for this senior, on-site position.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Background with an MEP contractor or main contractor in a D&B environment.
• Proven experience managing technical design on live projects (data centres / pharma / industrial).
• Strong BIM knowledge and coordination with buildability on site (Revit/Navisworks).
• Clear career history showing progression, stability and development.

Responsibilities

• Manage full MEP design process from coordination through to delivery.
• Lead design meetings with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Review drawings, technical submittals, and ensure buildability on site.
• Drive BIM coordination and resolving clashes (Revit / Navisworks).

A growing main contractor delivering high-value data centre, pharmaceutical, and advanced logistics projects across the UK and Europe is looking to appoint a Design Managers.

This role is suited to someone from an MEP background who has progressed through a contractor environment and understands how design translates into delivery.You'll be working on a major data centre project, fully site-based, taking ownership of design coordination from pre-construction through to handover.

As the MEP Design Manager, you will be responsible for the design, coordination, and delivery of all MEP systems across major data centre projects (£40m-£250m).You'll be expected to make a real impact — whether that's supporting bids on flagship schemes, taking ownership of live project packages, or managing multiple smaller but equally complex scopes.

The business is known for promoting internally and backing individuals who demonstrate consistency, progression, and the ability to deliver — with a clear route into Senior Design Manager and beyond.

The Role Will Include:
