Inspired Education Group is recruiting for a remote, UK-based teaching role. The position offers a permanent, full-time contract with a starting salary of around £30,000 basic per year.

The role focuses on mentoring and supporting students through an online learning environment, including collaboration with families and ongoing safeguarding commitments. Ideal candidates are experienced teachers with strong communication skills, capable of monitoring multiple students and partnering with subject

Qualifications

  • Must be an experienced, qualified teacher (ECT not suitable).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with families and colleagues.
  • Able to monitor multiple students and identify concerns early.
  • Experience delivering online learning and safeguarding training.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored individual support to students.
  • Oversee progress across subjects and identify concerns early.
  • Assist with academic planning, organisation and independent study.
  • Serve as academic contact for families throughout the year.
  • Promote engagement with clubs, enrichment and support services.
  • Collaborate with teachers and pastoral teams, escalate as needed.

ROLE SUMMARY:

Location: Remote, UK based (Please note, while this is a fully remote position, candidates must reside in the UK and hold the right to work in the UK to be considered)

Start date: January 2027

Contract: Permanent

As part of our continued growth and commitment to delivering outstanding online education, King's InterHigh is introducing the Mentored Pathway - a new premium programme that pairs students with a named, qualified Teacher Mentor. As a Teacher Mentor, you will support students’ academic progress through regular guidance, oversight and family communication.

In addition to this position, you may also be interested in our in‑person Inspired Careers Event in London on Saturday 23rd January 2027. This school and over 30 other UK and international Inspired schools will be attending to connect with teachers seeking new roles starting from August 2027.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide tailored individual support to students.
  • Maintain continuous oversight of each student's progress across all subjects, proactively identifying concerns early.
  • Support students with academic planning, organisation, and independent study habits.
  • Act as the primary academic point of contact for families, communicating proactively throughout the year.
  • Help students engage with the wider KIH offer, including clubs, enrichment, and academic support.
  • Collaborate with subject teachers and pastoral colleagues, escalating concerns to the appropriate team when needed.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
  • Be an experienced, qualified teacher (this post is not suitable for ECTs)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence managing relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Exhibit a proactive, organised approach - able to monitor multiple students and identify concerns early.
  • Display a genuine enthusiasm for supporting young people to succeed across their full academic programme.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work well in a team and adapt effectively to a dynamic, growing environment.
  • Comfortable working in a fully online environment, using digital platforms with confidence.
  • Have experience in communicating proactively with parents and carers in a professional setting
  • Hold relevant and up-to-date safeguarding training.
