We are seeking a committed, empathetic, and reliable part‑time Mentor to join our team. You will be working one‑to‑one with a young person, supporting them to develop social skills, build confidence, and engage in activities that support their emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

Responsibilities
  • Provide one‑to‑one support tailored to the individual needs of the young person.
  • Encourage social interaction, independence, and participation in community‑based activities.
  • Support communication needs, including use of alternative or augmentative methods if required.
  • Maintain clear, accurate records and communicate regularly with the Team Leader.
  • Ensure the safety, dignity, and well‑being of the young person at all times.
  • Develop trusting relationships with mentees to encourage open communication and personal growth.
  • Create engaging activities that promote learning and personal development.
  • Maintain accurate records of mentoring sessions and progress reports.
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence.
  • Must have access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
  • Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with additional needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, patient, and positive in a variety of situations.
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (funded by the company if not already held).
Desirable Qualifications
  • Knowledge or experience in SEN (Special Educational Needs), autism, or behavioural support.
  • Relevant qualifications in health and social care, education, or youth work.
