Mental Health Waking Night Support Worker, Young People – Ashton on Ribble, Preston
Salary: £26986.96 per annum • Full Time 38.5 hours per week
Care in Mind provides residential services for young people aged 16-30 years old. The young people we care for may require a high level of support to address difficulties such as self-harming, behaviour, and emotional challenges. Our aim is to support young people using a therapeutic approach to help them achieve individual goals, in preparation for transition to adult life.
At Care in Mind our homes are active and welcoming. Night shifts involve interaction with residents and support for their wellbeing, education, household tasks and life skills. You will contribute to incident management and de-escalation; update records; complete medication administration; and provide handovers to day staff. You will help maintain a tidy, homely environment. You will have support from another night worker or a sleep-in and access to an on-call manager.
Florida House is a newly renovated 6-bed service located in Ashton-on-Ribble, offering a modern space with multiple communal areas and local amenities. The home is within reasonable reach of Preston Town Centre and local transport links.
Previous care experience is not essential; full training will be provided. You will receive ongoing support and mentoring from our residential and clinical teams, including Reflective Practice, 1:1 supervision and group staff support.
