A prominent healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a leader for their RMN team to ensure high-quality care for mental health patients. The role involves oversight of staff, strategic development, and patient advocacy. Ideal candidates should have a Registered Mental Nurse qualification and experience in a mental health setting. This is an exciting time to join The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as we seek to strengthen the provision of care to patients with a mental health diagnosis. As a visible and charismatic leader, you will galvanise the RMN team to deliver high-quality, timely care to patients. The post will involve the day to day oversight of RMNs working throughout the organisation ensuring that they are supported to deliver high-quality care to patients. You will be able to provide expert advice and guidance regarding the care of patients with a primary and secondary mental health diagnosis whilst receiving care in the acute setting. You will work with partners across the local health economy to ensure that patients are receiving timely care and that delays to care are appropriately escalated. You will advocate for patients and staff. The post holder will also lead on recruitment, retention and development of the RMN team, whether they are substantive or temporary staff. The post holder will also ensure that RMNs working in the organisation receive appropriate clinical supervision. This role will contribute to the development of policy and strategy. In role you will be supported by a Lead Nurse and Senior Lead Nurse for Mental Health.
Responsibilities
The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust’s services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.
