Job description

Our Clients in the North London; Tottenham, Wood Green, Barnet, Enfield, Edmonton areas are looking for Full or Part Time (P/T) qualified and experienced Mental Health Support Workers with a minimum of NVQ levels 2 in Health and Social Care Diploma or working towards this Qualification.

Shifts Patterns: Days, Nights and some Sleep Overs, shifts to be confirmed.

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

• Min NVQ level 2 in Health & Social Care
• Previous experience of working with Clients / Service Users with Mental Health and Eating Disorders
• Must have current Enhanced DBS / CRB or must be willing to do one. Current DBS/CRB is accepted.

Main Duties

• Answering phone calls
• Opening and closing the door to staff reporting on duty or social services staff.
• Health & Safety checks in the house / building
• Handling challenging behaviour or aggression
• Conflict resolution
• Assist with Medication Administration
• Ensuring a timely reminder for medication when due
• General domestic tasks such as cleaning, bed making, laundry and ironing
• Plus any other Duties that may be required
