A healthcare organization in Tamworth is seeking a Mental Health Support Worker to provide evidence-based interventions for adults with complex emotional needs. You will collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to support service users in crisis. We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Band 4 Senior Mental Health Care Support Worker to work with individuals with complex emotional needs based in clinic or community venues within the Tamworth area, based at Cherry Orchard, Hospital Street, Tamworth.
You will work within the Integrated Mental Health Team (IMHT) and the Intensive Life Skills (ILS) Pathway to provide evidence‑based interventions for adults 17+ experiencing complex emotional difficulties as part of the Adult Mental Health Service. The role is delivered as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
In addition, you will support service‑users who present with high levels of emotional distress and often have histories of complex trauma, neuro‑diversity and/or adverse experiences. Independent travel across a large geographical area is required, so suitable transport is essential.
As a Community Mental Health, Health Care Support Worker you will work with adults and older adults, and where appropriate and necessary with their families or carers, to provide ongoing support and therapeutic interventions. Under the supervision of a senior team member, you will:
