Job summary

Mental Health Support Worker, Young People

Bromborough, Wirral

£24,570 to £25,662 per annum (Depending on experience). Pro rata for part‑time hours.

Full time: 37.5 hours per week. Part time: 25 hours per week.

Essential requirements
  • Flexibility – able to work shifts including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Attending training throughout employment (held on weekdays).
  • Good written communication – ability to write basic reports and record information accurately.
  • Basic IT skills (use of online care system, forms, email).
  • Good verbal communication and listening skills.
  • Maintain professional working boundaries.
  • Remain calm in emergencies and support others during difficult situations.
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent in Care.
  • Previous experience working with young people with mental health needs.
  • Full UK driving licence (manual).
