We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Support Worker with extensive experience and knowledge in mental health to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and support tailored to individuals with mental health needs.
  • Promote independence and well-being by encouraging individuals to achieve personal goals.
  • Implement care plans and support individuals in daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and community engagement.
  • Monitor mental health conditions and report any changes or concerns to the relevant professionals.
  • Support individuals in managing medications and appointments as per their care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care and support provided.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in working with individuals with mental health needs.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health conditions, interventions, and care approaches.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build trust and maintain professional relationships with clients and their families.
  • Understanding of safeguarding principles and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible, patient, and empathetic approach to care.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care (NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 desirable).
  • Mental Health training or certification is a plus.
  • Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
