Job summary

Search Consultancy is expanding its Bank Mental Health team in Leeds, recruiting experienced Mental Health Support Workers for flexible agency shifts across inpatient, supported living and rehab settings. You will help promote recovery and wellbeing with person-centred support tailored to each service user.

We offer next-day video interviews, ongoing agency work with regular shifts, and a free enhanced DBS for successful applicants (limited-time). Previous UK mental health experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' UK experience supporting adults in mental health or a related healthcare setting.
• Compassionate, resilient and professional approach to care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with service users.
• Flexibility to work days, nights and weekends across shifts.
• Ability to travel within Leeds and surrounding areas using own or public transport.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with daily living skills and emotional wellbeing.
• Build positive therapeutic relationships with service users.
• Encourage independence, recovery and social inclusion.
• Provide reassurance and de-escalation during distress.
• Support with routines, meals and medication prompts as required.
• Observe and report changes in mental or physical wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate records and follow individual care plans.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

The Role

You’ll be supporting adults with a range of mental health needs within inpatient units, supported living services, rehabilitation settings and other specialist healthcare environments.

You’ll play an important role in promoting recovery, independence and wellbeing while providing person-centred support tailored to each individual's needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting individuals with their daily living skills and emotional wellbeing
• Building positive, therapeutic relationships with service users
• Encouraging independence, recovery and social inclusion
• Providing reassurance and de-escalation during periods of distress
• Supporting with medication prompts, meals and daily routines where required
• Observing and reporting changes in mental or physical wellbeing
• Maintaining accurate records and following individual care plans
• Working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

What We're Looking For
