GSL Education is seeking a Mental Health Support Worker to join a highly supportive school in Totton for the academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals aspiring to become teachers or have previous experience supporting students with SEND or mental health needs. You'll be working closely with pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis, helping to nurture emotional wellbeing and provide tailored support within a compassionate school environment. The pupils have many needs, including Social, Emotional, Mental Health, Autism and behavioural difficulties.
As a Mental Health Support Worker you will be part of a team of workers under the direction of the Class teachers, Specialist and SENCOs. You will be expected to work effectively with both teaching and support staff at all levels, as well as with parents/carers and students.
The school based in Totton has a forward-thinking SEN department with excellent facilities and is led by a supportive SENCO. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and friendly team. Close to an overline and an underground station, making it very accessible.
