Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Support Worker to join our Primary Care team at HMP Belmarsh, a category‑A prison located in London.

Hours

Monday‑Friday 09:00‑17:00, with flexibility required for 12‑hour shifts.

Salary

Up to £53,000, depending on experience.

Main Duties
  • Carry out comprehensive assessments, initiate and review care plans, and develop treatment options.
  • Assess patients’ health needs, conduct risk assessments and use sound clinical knowledge.
  • Provide advice, support and information while managing a case load of patients.
  • Deliver non‑judgmental care that makes a real difference.
  • Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects, liaising with prescribers as required.
  • Forge strong links with partners and stakeholders to inspire excellence.

Qualifications Required
