Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Support Worker to join our Primary Care team at HMP Belmarsh, a category A Prison located in London. HMP Belmarsh is a male, maximum security prison that has a capacity for 910 inmates. Healthcare at HMP Belmarsh includes, Dentists, Primary Care, Mental Health, Substance abuse and Pharmacy. Hours Monday-Friday 09:00-17:00 hours to change eventually so candidate required to be flexible and able to do 12 hour shifts. As a Mental Health Social Worker, your responsibilities will vary. Responsibilities
  • Carry out comprehensive assessments, initiating and reviewing care plans, and developing treatment options.
  • Assess patients health needs and be able to risk assess use sound clinical knowledge.
  • Providing advice, support and information and manage a case load of patients.
  • Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference.
  • Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects liaising with prescribers as required.
  • Inspire excellence by forging strong links with our partners and stakeholders.
