Job summary

A mental health support organization is looking for a Mental Health Recovery/Support Worker in Sheffield. This role involves providing essential 1:1 support to individuals affected by mental illness, helping them regain confidence and achieve personal goals. Candidates should demonstrate empathy and align with the organization's values of understanding and commitment. Flexibility in working hours is required, and having a vehicle is preferred.

Mental Health Recovery/Support Worker - Sheffield Outreach

1 x 35 hour position available, working hours will be 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday. Some evening and weekend work may be required at times. As a Mental Health Recovery/Support Worker you will offer people affected by mental illness the support and help they need to regain their confidence and get involved in everyday social and workplace activities. You will be working closely with service users to achieve their own personal goals and access all the support they need on their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support with a mental health recovery worker to individuals living in their homes in the community to work towards recovery.
  • Support individuals in meeting the goals on their individual support plan, focusing on social care needs.
  • Work within the service operating Monday to Friday 9am‑5pm, with flexibility required as per service user needs.
