A community healthcare provider is seeking a Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner for a 12-month fixed term contract. This role involves providing brief intervention therapy to children and families, alongside working with various professionals to promote mental health. The position requires strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to work autonomously. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK and have a valid driving licence.
We are looking to welcome to our team a Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. Candidate must be able to start employment on 12th January 2026. Step2 is an Early Intervention Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service aimed at improving the mental health and emotional wellbeing of children and young people in Hertfordshire.
The post holder will primarily provide brief intervention therapy to children and families where a more targeted response is required. The service works with children aged 0 – 19. The post will provide highly skilled Child & Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) support to the Universal Children’s Workforce to increase their capacity to identify and manage children’s mental health needs, through liaison and joint working between services.
