Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking Mental Health Practitioners for the Elmbridge Neighbourhood Mental Health Team within the Brief Interventions pathway. You will deliver assessments and a range of interventions, supporting recovery journeys in a multidisciplinary setting.
The role requires driving to community-based visits; there are opportunities to enhance skills in low-intensity psychological interventions while working in a progressive all-age neighbourhood team.
We are excited to offer positions for Mental Health Practitioners in our Elmbridge Neighbourhood Mental health Team in the Brief Interventions pathway.
The team is moving through a transition to an All-Age Neighbourhood Mental Health Team to provide more joined up mental health care for our community.
As part of our multi-disciplinary team, the successful applicant will deliver comprehensive assessments and a variety of approaches, interventions, and treatments to individuals experiencing severe and enduring mental health issues, supporting them in their personal recovery journey.
Subject to reasonable adjustments in respect of any disability, candidates must possess a valid driving licence and be able to drive and have the unrestricted use of a car or motorcycle for work at all times for community-based roles where client visits are a significant part of the role.
You will be required to take lead and professional responsibility for a number of service users. This role demands excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. You must be committed to delivering a high-quality service, working both independently and as part of our well-established, innovative, and recovery-focused team to meet the needs of service users and their carers.
In addition to managing a defined caseload, the successful applicant will conduct initial assessments for clients referred to the service and support individuals experiencing mental health crises in the community. There are various training opportunities available to enhance skills in delivering low-intensity psychological interventions.
