Job description
Overview

Two exciting opportunities have arisen to work within the 111 option 2 urgent mental health care team in Lincolnshire, 37.5 hours per week. These posts are key within the 24/7 Mental Health First Response service, and you will be the first point of contact for people who may require urgent mental health support.

Responsibilities
  • Provide effective mental health support to callers who may be experiencing a mental health crisis, including triage, risk assessments and brief psychosocial interventions.
  • Work via telephone and video calls to offer compassionate conversational support and guide clients in effective self‑management of emotional distress.
  • Recognise when a client requires additional support beyond what can be delivered over the phone and coordinate appropriate arrangements with registrants, clinicians, services or organisations.
  • Attend team meetings and training, and resolve any internet difficulties by visiting the nearest base as required.
  • Deliver the helpline service 24 hours a day, including bank holidays and weekends, across long day, night and twilight shifts.
Setting

The post is home‑based, but you will need to be flexible to travel to the base for training, meetings, or to resolve technical issues.
