Role Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist mental healthcare to offenders as part of the Mental Health In‑Reach Team.
  • Work psychologically minded with offenders to achieve agreed goals and quality health outcomes.
  • Deliver referral management, screening assessment, triage, evidence‑based interventions, care planning and risk assessment.
  • Manage a mixed and challenging caseload, performing robust assessment, screening and interventions for offenders with learning disabilities and mental health conditions.
  • Contribute to alternatives to inpatient admission and assist early discharge through high intensity interventions and complex case management arrangements.
  • Collaborate closely with community mental health teams to share information, ensure continuity of care and implement the Care Programme Approach for all offenders as necessary.
