Job description
Mental Health Peer Support Worker

Location: The post will be based at EACH Ealing. Remote working may be necessary and will be required primarily to work offsite in LB of Ealing.

Salary: £27,300 - £30,095 pa (full time equivalent inclusive of outer London weighting). Pro-rata £16,380 - £18,057 per annum (inclusive of OLW).

Hours: 22.5 hours per week

Duration: This post is permanent, but is subject to performance continuous funding.

EACH is a growing charity providing a range of specialist services to individuals and families affected by mental health, domestic violence and alcohol and substance misuse issues. Our services, and our success, are driven and delivered by a diverse staff and volunteer team, who are as passionate and committed as we are to meeting the needs of our local communities.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinating and supporting peer volunteers to deliver service activities.
  • Contributing to the monitoring and evaluation of work, providing statistics and reports, including on activity levels, peer volunteers and campaign impact.
  • Disseminating key messages through various channels within the local community, e.g. social media, leaflets.
  • Participating fully with the agreed support structures for the post, e.g. training and development.
  • Represent EACH at meetings, briefings and networks as well as contributing to internal meetings including establishing organizational priorities.
Qualifications
  • Good level of education to GCSE or above.
  • Experience of working with people who have lived experienced mental health issues.
  • Knowledge of community engagement, empowerment processes and outreach.
  • Experience of working with Black, Minority & Ethnic communities.
  • Experience of working with a variety of stakeholders and safeguarding.
