Devon Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a Band 3 Occupational Therapy Assistant for the inpatient Adult Mental Health Wards Haytor and Salus at Torbay Hospital in Torquay, Devon. You will support and assist qualified Occupational Therapists and help plan and facilitate therapeutic activities on the ward and in the community as directed.

The successful candidate will have a passion for mental health, be flexible, motivated and a team player with strong communication skills, and be prepared to work

Qualifications

• Evidence of good general education (CSE, O Level, GCSE) and Care Certificate due within 6 months.
• If Care Certificate not held, must complete within 3 months; trainee position if not completed.
• If prior care experience in last 2 years (minimum 6 months) but no Care Certificate, provide Care Certificate Evidence Document at interview.

Responsabilités

• Support inpatient adults on Haytor and Salus wards by planning and facilitating therapeutic activities.
• Assist qualified Occupational Therapists and participate in the wider multidisciplinary team.
