Job summary

South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Staff Nurse or newly qualified Preceptee to deliver excellent clinical and organisational care in a compassionate ward setting. You will work as a named nurse, assessing and planning care with patients and families, and ensuring plans reflect individual needs.

You will monitor progress, update care plans, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care while adhering to safeguarding, medicines

Qualifications

• Qualified RMN or newly qualified preceptee required.
• Registered with the NMC (or in first nursing role) and eligible to practice.
• Strong team-working, motivated, flexible and compassionate to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the ward, acting as named nurse for a defined group of patients.
• Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care in collaboration with patients and families, reflecting individual needs.
• Observe, communicate with and engage patients to assess needs and evaluate progress.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance processes.
• Monitor and review nursing care plans and advocate for patients.
