An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the innovative and friendly SET CAMHS Eating Disorder Service, supporting children and young people across Essex, Thurrock and Southend.
We are seeking an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Allied Health Professional (e.g. CBT Therapist, Psychotherapist, Occupational Therapist) to support the delivery and ongoing development of a range of NICE-concordant interventions for children and young people presenting with eating disorders.
The post holder will work closely with the CAMHS Manager and Clinical Leads to support the delivery of high-quality clinical care, contribute to clinical leadership, and provide clinical oversight across the service. They will be responsible for undertaking assessments, delivering evidence-based interventions, monitoring outcomes, and contributing to service development. The post holder will also provide line management, clinical supervision, and professional support to staff within the team.
Applicants must hold a recognised professional qualification and current registration with the relevant professional body (e.g. NMC, HCPC, or equivalent).
This role would suit clinicians with experience of working with children and young people presenting with eating disorders, including adapting interventions for those with neurodevelopmental differences. Experience of working collaboratively with wider professional networks, including education, social care, acute hospitals, inpatient psychiatric services, and families/carers, is essential.

These three values help us to strive to provide the best care by the best people.
At NELFT, we place great importance on ensuring that all new starters receive a warm welcome and a comprehensive induction to support their transition into the organisation.
All new starters join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and undertake a structured induction programme of up to two weeks. This includes mandatory training, systems training, and the allocation of equipment required for the role.
As part of the induction programme, new colleagues will have the opportunity to meet members of the Executive Team and senior managers, as well as attend a range of drop-in sessions focused on staff engagement, health and wellbeing, and key organisational processes.
The induction programme is held at our Head Office based at Goodmayes Hospital, providing an excellent opportunity to learn about the Trust, connect with colleagues, and gain the knowledge and skills needed to thrive within NELFT.
This post will be subject to a probationary period.
As a licensed sponsor organisation, NELFT is able to provide Certificates of Sponsorship for some roles; however, sponsorship is not available for all vacancies. Applicants requiring sponsorship are advised to check their eligibility under the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) points-based immigration system before applying.
Please note that when assessing eligibility for sponsorship, only the basic salary is considered. The High Cost Area Supplement (HCAS) is not included in salary calculations for sponsorship purposes. This approach ensures fairness, consistency, and compliance with UKVI requirements across the Trust.
