Position

Band 6 Mental Health Liaison Practitioner

Location & Hours

Blackpool, Lancashire. 37.5 hours per week, 7 days, 24‑hour cover including nights.

Overview

We are looking to recruit a Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner who has enthusiasm and passion for working within the Urgent Care Pathway within Mental Health Services. The Mental Health Liaison Team is a dedicated team of professionals providing comprehensive and holistic assessments for patients within the Acute Trust hospital for those aged 16 years and over.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive and holistic assessments for patients within the Acute Trust hospital.
  • Work within the Urgent Care Pathway, consolidating and expanding clinical skills within a diverse population.
  • Collaborate with the team, displaying core team and trust values to ensure thorough and high‑standard care for patients.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner.
  • Enthusiasm for and passion to work within the Urgent Care Pathway.
  • Willingness to consolidate and develop specialist skills.
Training & Development

The successful candidate will be supported to develop on courses such as NMP, specialist MHL training, and opportunities to top up to degree level, alongside a multitude of other service‑specific in‑house training opportunities.
