A health service organization in Bury St Edmunds is seeking a qualified mental health professional to join their Mental Health Liaison Team. This role involves assessing mental states, providing patient care, and collaborating with healthcare professionals. Ideal candidates will hold relevant mental health qualifications and possess experience in managing mental health care services. The service operates continuously, offering a supportive team environment.
This role is in the Mental Health Liaison Team within the West Suffolk Hospital. The service offers mental health assessment to people attending the Emergency Department and those referred from medical wards, to understand a persons mental state, brief history and risk to provide suitable information, signposting and onward referral(s).
This is a core24 liaison service, providing a 24/7 service, 365 days per year and is age inclusive.

The post holder will undertake the planning and delivery of direct patient care with appropriate supervision, ensuring continuity of practice and working within a multi- disciplinary and multi-agency environment. Managing a caseload and the provision of Mental Health Care services to people with mental health care needs.
