Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Nottingham is seeking a Sports Instructor to facilitate sports and physical activity for patients. This role includes planning and delivering tailored fitness programs and requires a Level 2 fitness qualification. Ideal candidates will have experience working with mental health needs, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate individuals. This part-time position offers a salary range of £24,937 to £26,598 annually.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with individuals with mental health needs.
• Experience of planning and facilitating a variety of 1:1 and group interventions.
• Demonstrates understanding of cultural and diversity needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a needs led sports and wellbeing programme for patients.
• Provide safe access to the gym and sports hall.
• Support clinical physical assessment with Occupational Therapist.

Skills

Ability to motivate others

IT skills relevant to post

Ability to communicate effectively

Experience with individual and group sessions

Education

Gym instructor Level 2 or equivalent

GCSE/GCE in English and Maths
