Crisis Recovery Worker - Barnsley Support Hub
We have 2 positions available: 1 x 15 hours and 1 x 20 hours per week, Thursday to Sunday (5 hour shifts) - Various hours available
Service open hours: 6pm to 11pm
Salary: £25,958 per annum, with progression to £28,662 per annum PRO-RATA
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Crisis Recovery Worker to work in our out of hours service in Barnsley!

In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in crisis, helping to assess their needs, provide emotional guidance, and promote mental health and wellbeing. This position involves working in a fast-paced environment with clients experiencing mental health challenges, contributing to a supportive team, and working in partnership with local agencies and external networks.
You will have experience of working with Mental Health and will be able to inspire and engage people. You will have the ability to identify barriers and understand client needs while possessing excellent motivational skills. This will include one-to-one engagement and facilitating group-based activities, signposting, and engaging people in mainstream provision.
You will have an understanding of working with people with a variety of complex needs including mental health, learning, physical, and substance misuse, which would be an advantage for this post. Your knowledge of working within a community-based service is essential and will have equipped you with the relevant communication and interpersonal skills required for the role.
It is essential that you hold a Health and Social Care level 2 or level 3 and be willing to develop further as the role requires.
You will go through our comprehensive, in-person training program in your first week of employment which will give you the tools you need to succeed in the role, as well as offering a great opportunity to get to know your new colleagues.
