Mental Health Clinician - Core Eating Disorders Team, CAMHS

This post is fixed term/secondment for 9 months due to Maternity Cover

If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.

As a member of the Core Eating Disorders CAMHS multi-disciplinary team the post holder will:

Provide a clinical perspective within the multi-disciplinary team and to referring agencies and external professionals, being able to provide clinical consultation and liaison when appropriate.

Provide a child and adolescent mental health service specialising in the care and treatment of children and young people with a range of complex mental health problems and disorders in particular working with young people with eating disorders.

Take a lead role in the assessment, planning, delivering and evaluating the provision of specialist child mental health therapeutic and psychological interventions within individual, groups and families requiring specialist CAMHS interventions.

Main duties of the job
  • Responsibility for the CAMHS assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of treatment of care for children or young people accessing services.
  • To have knowledge and understanding of the Maudsley Model of Care and MEED Risk assessment in the treatment of eating disorders.
  • To work with families to support the young person's recovery.
  • To liaise and work closely with other professionals to provide holistic care.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
