A top Tier1 Contractor in London is seeking a MEICA Site Manager to oversee the mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation processes in their civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in MEICA installations, strong leadership skills, as well as relevant electrical qualifications. This role offers an opportunity to manage high-profile projects while ensuring safety, quality, and budget adherence.

Qualifications

  • Electrical qualifications (18th edition, C&G 2365, AM2).
  • CSCS card, SMSTS/IOSH, and ideally Temporary Works Coordinator.

Overview

PSR Solutions are currently recruiting for a Permanent MEICA Site Manager in London. This will be working for a well established Tier1 Contractor within the Civils indsutry.

This is a senior site-based role focused on managing the MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation) aspects of civil engineering and water sector projects, ensuring safe, quality-driven, and commercially efficient delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Project & Site Management: Lead and manage MEICA installations, including planning, coordination, quality assurance, and health & safety.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain ITPs, commissioning plans, RAMS, and O&M manuals.
  • Commissioning & Testing: Oversee site acceptance testing, review P&IDs, and work with electrical/mechanical engineers on telemetry and plant integration.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Interface with clients, third parties, and internal teams to ensure satisfaction and smooth handovers.
  • Cost & Programme Control: Contribute to cost plans, manage risk, forecast, and maintain tight control over budgets and timelines.
  • Leadership & Supervision: Lead site teams (engineers, agents, forepersons), ensure staff are supported and compliant with regulations.
Key Skills/Experience Required

Essential

  • Strong MEICA installation experience, ideally in water/civils.
  • Background in managing site delivery and documentation.
  • Familiarity with CDM regulations, risk assessments, and cost control.
  • Electrical qualifications (18th edition, C&G 2365, AM2).
  • Formal qualification in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (HNC/Degree or equivalent).
  • CSCS card, SMSTS/IOSH, and ideally Temporary Works Coordinator.
  • Experience managing complex stakeholder environments.

Desirable

  • Professional memberships (e.g., CEng MICE).
  • Familiarity with NEC/JCT contracts and Primavera P6.
  • Water industry-specific qualifications (EUSR, TW Passport, WIMES, LV/HV).
  • Confined space certification (CP1/2).
  • Inspection & testing (#removed# or equivalent).
