We are hiring a Meetings & Events Manager to lead the sales strategy and execution of a prestigious events department in central London. This is a senior leadership role driving commercial performance and operational excellence in one of the capital's premier venues.

Our client is a renowned international hospitality brand, recognized for its sophisticated service, modern design, and global standards of excellence in urban destinations.

What will you do?
  • Oversee and direct all aspects of the Meetings & Events Sales department, leading a team of 4+ professionals.
  • Drive revenue growth through strategic diary management, active selling, and commercial optimization.
  • Set, communicate, and implement clear sales and revenue strategies aligned with hotel goals.
  • Ensure all enquiries are handled promptly and professionally, in line with brand standards.
  • Maintain high-quality client data and ensure efficient distribution of event information across departments.
  • Monitor business performance, analyze Turn Down/Regretted/Cancelled business, and take action to ensure profitability.
  • Establish and manage yield policies in collaboration with F&B, Sales, and Revenue Management.
  • Track revenue KPIs including forecast, pace, market segmentation, and client spending metrics.
  • Deliver weekly and monthly team targets, sharing financial insights and ensuring alignment with forecasts.
  • Maximize repeat business by proactively engaging top clients and accounts.
  • Coordinate client show rounds, promotional offers, and events in partnership with the sales department.
  • Maintain up-to-date competitor intelligence and adjust pricing and strategy accordingly.
  • Participate in revenue meetings and client events, ensuring all actions align with broader commercial goals.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train new team members; develop training plans and support career development.
  • Ensure all MICE-related content on online platforms is accurate and up to date.
Requirements
  • Proven leadership experience in a Meetings & Events Sales role, ideally in a high-volume, upscale environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to forecast, analyze, and drive revenue.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a sales-focused team.
  • Expertise in yield and diary management with a focus on profitability.
  • Knowledge of MICE market trends, competitor analysis, and performance reporting.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, able to build consensus and resolve challenges.
  • Deep understanding of hospitality systems, SOPs, and cross-functional collaboration.
