Newton Colmore Consulting is partnering with a technology company in Cambridge to recruit a Post-Doc Engineer - Technical Sales. The role suits someone who has recently completed a PhD or post-doctoral experience, with a strong research background and proposal development focus.

You will be a trusted technical voice in early-stage business development, working with scientists and engineers to build credible proposals, manage a sales pipeline, negotiate contracts, and help shape go-to-market

Qualifications

• Engineer with a PhD or post-doc experience in a research-heavy field related to medical devices.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanical/electronics/physics and ability to grasp new technical contexts.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with desire to identify and convert new business opportunities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build trusted client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a network of clients through in-person and online engagement.
• Collaborate with internal experts to develop credible proposals and pitches.
• Manage and grow a sales pipeline alongside existing accounts.
• Listen to client challenges to craft targeted, commercial solutions.
• Negotiate contracts and contribute to go-to-market strategy evolution.
• Identify emerging opportunities and energise the team to explore them.
