Job summary

A healthcare organization in Llantrisant is seeking a committed registered Pharmacy Technician to join their multidisciplinary team at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital. The role requires a BTEC and NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences, along with an Accredited Checking Technician qualification. You will perform key pharmacy responsibilities while enjoying excellent in-house training and a supportive work environment. This is a fixed-term position for 12 months to cover maternity leave.

Qualifications

• Registered as pharmacy technician with GPhC.
• Experience in hospital pharmacy is necessary.
• Previous supervisory management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check and release prescriptions as an Accredited Checking Technician.
• Participate in the ward-based medicines management service.
• Supervise new pharmacy staff and mentor junior staff.
