Would you like to start a rewarding career in the National Health Service undertaking training to obtain a QCF Level 2 in Pharmacy Services? Or perhaps you are already a qualified QCF (formerly NVQ) Level 2 Pharmacy Assistant looking for a change. We are looking for a dedicated, organised and motivated person to join us as a Rotational Pharmacy Assistant.
You will rotate through the Aseptic Suite, Dispensary, Ward services and Stores sections gaining experience and undertaking additional training if required.
Applicants should have good communication & organisational skills; be self-motivated and possess excellent interpersonal skills, be flexible and able to work well in an environment of change and transition. Applicants must also have good computer skills and be able to work well under pressure. Parts of this job are physically demanding and it is essential that you are physically fit.
You must be willing to learn and take responsibility, working well within a diverse team consisting of Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Assistants, Pharmacists, Nurses and Clerical staff. You will also be expected to develop good working relationships with other departments within the Pharmacy and Hospital.You will work closely with the rest of the pharmacy team to provide high quality pharmaceutical care to all patients within the Trust, whether in a dispensary or ward based aspect.
