A leading mental health service provider in the UK is seeking a Band 3 Medical Support Secretary to join the North Mersey Community Mental Health Team. This part-time role (16 hours/week) requires excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as experience in a secretarial role, preferably within the NHS. Candidates will be responsible for providing admin support, managing correspondence, and assisting consultants with diary management. A competitive salary is offered, along with 27 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
Please note - This role is not eligible for sponsorship unless you meet criteria by temporary exemption from current changes to immigration rules put in force on 22/07/2025. Separate provisions are applied to workers who have been sponsored and held continuously Skilled Worker visa since prior to 04/04/2024.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication and organisational skills and have a broad range of administration and secretarial experience, being able to work with initiative and sometimes under pressure. The post‑holder will work as part of a dynamic team supporting medical secretaries, consultants, clinicians and team managers in the smooth running of the Admin Services. The successful applicant will work directly with the consultant, providing secretarial duties and co‑ordinate and facilitate the dissemination of information to and from the team and be required to deal efficiently, precisely and courteously with telephone calls from service users as well as health professionals.
You will be a well organised and experienced secretary with knowledge of medical terminology. You will ensure all consultants and clinicians within your role are organised and equipped to fulfil their responsibilities. Duties will include audio typing clinical letters and typing of medical and other correspondence, actioning any requirements identified in minutes/typing, uploading scanning including prescriptions and assisting the consultants with their diary management if required.
