A leading healthcare provider in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a Medical Secretary to join their Urology department. You will provide administrative support, manage appointments, and ensure efficient processes. Ideal for candidates with clerical experience, offering full training. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential. This role supports a diverse and inclusive team dedicated to high-quality patient care.
University Hospitals of North Midlands is currently unable to provide sponsorship this role. This is in accordance with UKVI guidelines and legislation, as these roles do not meet the skill nor salary threshold for sponsorship. If you hold a graduate visa, you are welcome to apply for this role however it is important to note that UHNM will be unable to offer sponsorship at the end of your graduate visa. You must also have at least six months until your graduate visa expires at the start of your employment for training and operational reasons.
The successful candidate will be required to support the Medical Secretarial Team in the delivery of a comprehensive administrative service, outline new and efficient processes and inpatient and outpatient waiting list management for our speciality, in accordance with the Patient Access Policy. You will be required to communicate appointments and admission related information to patients and carers along with answering queries both verbally and in writing, and typing correspondence within performance targets as appropriate, and supporting in the delivery of the local and national NHS targets.
This would be an ideal opportunity for anyone who has clerical experience of working in the NHS, but this is not essential as full training will be given to the successful candidate.
