A prominent healthcare provider in Leeds is looking for a full-time Medical Secretary to join the Diabetes admin team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality secretarial support, manage clinic letters, and handle patient inquiries. TheDiabetes department based in Beckett Wing have an exciting opportunity for afull time Band 3 Medical Secretary to join our very friendly and approachableteam consisting of medical secretaries and administrative staff. We work veryclosely with our consulting and admin teams forging strong relationships todeliver the best care for our services users.
Previoussecretarial experience would be an advantage for this role.

Thediabetes admin team comprises of 1 senior medical secretary, 2 medicalsecretaries, 2 clerk/typists and 1 data manager. The team are hardworking, veryknowledgeable and, they are a great bunch of people who are fun to be around.
TheDiabetes Centre is a busy and exciting department that offers an ample numberof opportunities to learn more about the service, and the CSU. Leeds Teaching Hospitals is great to be apart of as it has lots of new and interesting opportunities made availablefor staff.
Thispost is based at the St James Hospital in a busy but friendly department, andyou will be expected to prioritise your workload and undertake multipletasks. The successful candidate willneed to have the ability to work using their own initiative but also teamworkis essential.

To provide a comprehensive andhigh-quality secretarial service to support the multi-disciplinary teams(Consultants, their medical teams e.g. junior medical staff or specialistnursing staff as appropriate) in delivering high quality care to the patientsof Leeds and beyond. This role will additionally make a key contribution inimproving the patient experience by supporting Directorate teams with themovement of patients through their 18-week pathway or other national waitingtime standards as appropriate.
