Job description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

Shift Pattern

The shift pattern for this post is a full‑time post (37 hours) worked Monday to Friday, 8.00 am to 4.00 pm (one day finishing at 3.30 pm).

Responsibilities

The post holder will provide a comprehensive and efficient service for the patients, Clinical Director, Lead Clinician, Lead Nurse, medical and nursing staff in the Critical Care Unit at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

The post holder must have the ability to communicate effectively with a wide group of people including relatives, clinicians, nursing and admin staff. They must have excellent interpersonal skills to demonstrate an all‑round professional attitude, be able to work independently whilst being part of a larger team and be able to use their own initiative.
